Theta Sheath System Manual

Theta Sheath System (TSS) and included knife Product Manual

The Theta Sheath is a quick deployment minimalist sheath system designed to accommodate a range of attachment or mounting options. Mount spacing is ¾”. Mounts can be added to either side of the system. The locking cam can be placed on either side. Cam screws are different lengths and the longer screw should be used against the locking cam. Care needs to be taken when seating the cam onto the spindle as the fit is very tight and deformation of parts can take place if the screw is tightened when the alignment is incorrect.

Sheathing and Unsheathing:

Operation is via rotation of the locking cam, releasing the locking cam from the knife scales. The knife can then be removed out of the sheath. Sheathing is done by lining up the belly of the knife into the sheath track and then pushing forward. This will rotate the locking cam until it slides into the scale slots, locking the knife back into the sheath. The end user needs to ensure the locking cam has fully engaged.

Cleaning:

Cleaning of the TSS can be accomplished using simple soap and water. The track should be clear of dirt or debris and all areas around the locking cam should be clean. Sometimes disassembly of the TSS is needed. The cam spindle and its spring should be free of dirt and debris. Scale slots in the knife are connected via a space in the tang of the blade and can be cleaned by flushing the cleaning solution through the slots.
